With 18 teams it was a packed room at the Ballymena Show Grounds.

Prizes included a plaque for each member of the team with the cup going to the first place winners. Each winning school also received a prize.

Members of the Road Safety Council work furiously away in the background counting up the scores and keeping track of the rounds.

With family, friends and teachers in support it was a great atmosphere as the teams battled it out for the 2006 cup.

Frank Mitchell from UTV chaired the proceedings with Steve Melville of the Road Safety Council keeping an eye on time.

Frank took time out during the evening to meet everyone and sign autographs.
